[BLAST_ANAWARE] Minutes of the 2005/06/08 analysis meeting

From: Michael Kohl (kohlm@mit.edu)
Date: Wed Jun 08 2005 - 13:26:34 EDT

Attending RM,AS(UNH),AS(MIT),BT,DH,KD,PK,CZ,AM,KM,MS,CG,MK

The meeting should be intensified and well attended in future.
We will focus on certain tasks in each meeting, every Wednesday.
Individual reports of contributors will be expected, including plots.
No formal presentations though!
Today we went around and heard about everybody's activities and tasks.

We will arrange a data pool where plots and minutes for every analysis
meeting are collected, accessible from www (private area)
This pool area will also contain "semi-official" key results to be
used, like hPz, Pzz, spin angle, momentum corrections, ...
People are encouraged to copy their "state-of-art" results into that area,
too, and should document this, e.g. with README files or elog entries
(yes, elog is still running)

-AM: finishing thesis by July. A_ed^V, A_d^T for d(e,e'p) for 2004
data, determination of hPz. Sees Q2 dependence of hPz.
 Tasks:
 +Comparison of hPz from d(e,e'p), d(e,e'n), d(e,e'), d(e,e'd)
for the same dataset under same conditions
 +2005 data analysis
 +Pzz determination from A_d^T: pmiss distribution/Dwave: contact H.A.

-CZ: working on global fit ("Zhang parameterization") like Abbott for
 xsec, T_xx, A, B, GC, GM, GQ vs. Q2. Analyzing 2004+2005 data

-CC+DH wire chamber calibration, evaluation of straight tracks

-MS/MK: Calibration of the neutron counters/outer detectors run-by-run.
Maintenance of MySQL database. The "RUN" table should contain correct
information such as Target and Validity in order to be the tool.

-MK: Recrunch, SQL, Data quality
Will establish DST for every run asap. Available already for 2005 and
past 10/2004. All recalibration require quick recrunch only.

-NM: analyzing 2005 d(e,e') for GMn, Q2=0.1-0.35. 500kC in 2005 gives
2.5% error on GMn. Results are consistent between 04 and 05 except
for lowest Q2 bin (differs by ~8%). Working on radiative corrections,
implemented MASCARAD into generator, however code is slow as it uses
no approximations. Generating helicity-independent radiated events in
peaking approximation should be sufficient. Radiative effects are
most cruncial for NDelta kinematics as they will affect asymmetries
 there.
 Tasks:
 +N-Delta for d(e,e')

-VZ+EG: GEn analysis for 2004+2005 data, radiative corrections

-CG,KM: d(e,e'ppi+)npi- search for preformed deltas

-RF,KM, MK: to take over Aaron's analysis for 2005 data; N-Delta
 Task: GEp/GMp from d(e,e'p)

-PK: d(e,e'd): T11e, GM, hPz. Radiative corrections. Combination with
Chi's analysis to constrain GC, GM, GQ, hPz, Pzz

-AS_UNH: p(e,e'p): consistent with CC. hPz independent of Q2
 Task: BAT analysis

-TF: p(e,e') analysis, radiative corrections

-AS_MIT: evaluating unpol runs with buffer system to measure target
density and detection efficiency. Efficiency for consistenvy with
CC's efficiencies. Analyzing pion channels on hydrogen.

Proposed agenda for next meeting on June 15:
-hPz systematics, comparison of momentum corrections
-radiative corrections

Regards,

  Michael
