The beam studies completed for 3He target. Here is the summary of
what we could get:
**************************************************
**** Beam studies with 3He Nov 10th, 2004 ****
**************************************************
Target: Unpol 3He target flow 1.5e17 at/sec
After 3.5 hrs of beam tuning:
best current: 100mA - 7.5min with SLITS OUT
(with slits in the lifetime 2-3min)
WC rates are huge with slits out (>1000) (trips instantly)
The slits were inserted in gradually to find a reasonable value
for lifetime and detector rates.
Had "stable" beam condition with the following parameters:
I_injection = 85-90mA
Lifetime = 5.5min
WC = 250 Hz/mA
singles = 350 Hz/mA
BQM = T:1500 L:400 B:800 R:450 Hz/mA
Occasional LAD trips were observed (WC held fine)
It was noted that with some "more" dedicated time the beam
current/lifetime can be improved some 10-15% more.

We switched back to ABS-H2 target and started taking data at 3pm.
Run plan: Continue to take ABS-H2 data.
