We are running ABS hydrogen again after the nozzle was regenerated
yesterday. Ring is filling to 160 mA after Larry improved the fill-time
yesterday and did some tuning. Wire chamber helium flow has been reduced
to 4 l/m. PLEASE keep an eye on twl and twr to make sure we're not losing
particles at long drift distance. If things still look good, we may go to
3 l/m tomorrow.
Bill will check the Compton false asymmetry; Tancredi reported that it
increased when the fill current increased.
Plan is to continue running at 32 degrees to finish the systematic
proton-misidentification measurements for the deuterium data (about 40
kC). A discussion of the spin angle for the rest of the hydrogen data will
take place on Wednesday at the weekly BLAST meeting.
We'll be open tomorrow morning just long enough to fill the solenoids, as
the nozzle regeneration occurred yesterday. Bill will check the Compton
optics. Jim will check the wire chamber bubblers and L/R balance. Hall
will be open by 8a.m. -- Ernie Ihloff may call in and ask for it to be open
as early as 7a.m., though.
Karen (for Tancredi)
