whoops. i made a typo. i wrote that i assumed that:

t_hvup + t_hvdown + t_fill = 2 minutes

i meant to write:

t_hvup _ t_hvdown + t_fill + t_dead = 2 minutes

(even though t_dead as i defined it is basically zero anyway in continuous
fill mode).

i also assumed that t_hvup = 30 seconds, since this value is explicitly
needed in the calculation.
