We continued data taking from the last shift at 0.05 sccm unpolarized H gas
flow (run numbers 1036-1039 & 1041). At 20:55 we increased the flow to 0.10
sccm (run numbers 1042-1043). These runs were taken with a room temp target,
at 23:10 we began cooling the target, which will take around 12 hours. Data
taking is continuing at 0.1 sccm while the target cools.
The wire chambers tripped continuously, and we turned the voltages down on 10
boxes that repeatedly tripped. Otherwise, the wire chambers performed very
well with 4:1 signal to noise in the worst chamber and 7:1 in the best. The
Compton pol-control crashed before 19:16 and could not be restarted. Bill
Franklin was able to get an old version of pol-control working at 21:00 while
data taking continued.
The data could not be crunched with lrn as the spuds were loaded. Charge.C
is running on spud1.
