hi doug & tong,
  here is a plot of reconstruction, using different wire chamber
electronics maps. the top (bottom) row is the left(right) sector, and
the column are chambers 0,1, and 2. i just plotted the number of
reconstructed segments for each cell. the colors are:
  black: original map, red: switch layers 0,2 in each superlayer 0,
green: switch layers 0,2 in each superlayer 1, and blue: switch both
superlayers.
  hope this helps for testing the current map
