hi everyone,
the blast electronic logbook is now ready for trial and evaluation.
to make entries, you need to be on a computer with the blast disk
mounted, and use the command "~elog/bin/elog", which pulls up a tcl/tk
entry form. on dblast08/09, you can also click on the brown 'log' icon
in the bottom-panel. this will also be on dblast07 the next time we log
out and back on (assuming no one clicks on the 'save settings' during
logout).

the source has been checked into the blast cvs repository; you can
check it out with the command: 'cvs -d/home/blast/cvsroot co control/elog'
please play around with making and viewing entries, and give me
feedback, so we can improve the system while it is much easier to do so.
don't make any real entries yet, since we may make changes which are
incompatible with the current database
