Wire chamber studies continued on Tuesday with beam.
- in general WC's still show a lot of noise/background with or without
the toroid on
- took several runs with various operating voltages and thresholds
Moving the wire target into the beam was a problem in the morning in that
the readout was not consistent from one run to the next. Opened the hall
in the afgternoon and reploaced the LVDT with a linear resistor. In the
evening the readout was more reproduceable but ocassionally the control
jumped on the order of 1 mm. Dan Cheever was called and he is working on
the problem.
