Dear Collaborators,
at today's meeting we emphasized the importance of having a full
shift schedule going again. It is important for planning and to use the beam
efficiently.
I understand that tuning the ABS and Wch needs expert people. It may well be
that you sign up for a shift one week from now and it will be cancelled or
rescheduled as things progress.. However we need to keep regular data taking
going, with a look at available manpower, and have quite a number of things
to look at just for ep elastic. Note that many of these do not require field
on and so other work can happen as well while you are taking physics data.
I certainly expect that this week many of you could be available. Tonight
there will be a one Compton shift, but starting tomorrow it is hoped that we
can use night shifts more regularly.
***************
Bottom line: please send me (not the list) how many shifts you can or expect
to take and in particular send me your blank off dates.
***************
Note that a preferred date is less relevant than the information above but
of course i'll try not to ignore it. We'll also think of cars for those who
need them (actually, send me your car info as well!)
If you coordinate this with your immediate supervisor, the better for
everybody, since he/she has to know when you'll be available. Then, I'll
collate the schedules and fill the gaps.
regards,
-- tancredi
